Our Windows 10 test computer will not move to production until Microsoft resolves this mess. We are uncertain at this time if this will be a permanent fix, but highlights the absolute mess that Microsoft has implemented in this version of Windows Update.

We rolled back the driver to the previous version and had to use PowerScript to hopefully hide the drivers from being installed, The quick and dirty tool would not detect the Synaptics driver update so this was absolutely useless at resolving the problem. However, this was short lived as Windows FORCED drivers detected the lower version and upon next reboot replaced the good drivers The fixed Toshiba provided driver and to our delight we found all the features such as scrolling and hotspots working as designed. Over the weekend we discovered that Toshiba released a fix for the Synaptics TouchPad used on many laptops, this Windows 10 compatible driver is version 17.x.x, we quickly removed the buggy Microsoft Update delivered Synaptics driver version 19.x.x and installed Why do neither of these settings actually allow me to block I also have the setting disabled within Advanced System Properties to not update drivers, seems this setting doesn't work at all as it does update for the GTX 480, even with the wushowhide.diagcab. The current drivers on Windows Update for the GTXĤ80 do not work well for me for applications I have installed, so I need to be able to block it permanently.
It would be better to be able to block all new drivers for it, not having to be broken first with the update to then be re-hidden each time. GTX 480 comes out, it has to be installed first then disabled.
